Next Steps After Tryouts

What to expect after attending Alliance Volleyball tryout sessions 2025-2026:

Alliance coaching staff will meet to discuss their evaluations immediately after each tryout session.  After the conclusion of the second tryout session, skill evaluators, age division coaches and directors meet to make the final decision regarding team placement and assembly.

We value the tryout period and its integrity to place athletes in what we deem the appropriate team setting for their current and future abilities.  No teams are formed prior to try outs, and no offers will be made until conclusion of the final tryout session of each respective age division.

Alliance will do its best to expedite the offer process.  Please note:  our 1st and 2nd tryout date sessions are scheduled as close together as possible to create teams in a timely manner.

Team offers will begin at the conclusion of the 2nd night of tryouts.  These offers are made through coach phone calls starting with our REN teams.

  • Offers will be made by projected primary position.  For example, when REN team setter offers are accepted, immediately the next level team, Molten, will begin their setter offers and so on and so forth.
  • Coaches will call each family who is receiving a team offer. They will ask to speak with a parent and player (at ages 15 and under).  If either is unavailable, please refer to directions that are spelled out in the confirming official email offer from Alliance.  Parents, ages 16-18, are welcome to join in the offer conversations.
  • It can take several days to complete rosters in each age group.  Alliance administration will send emails periodically during this process updating parents/players on where offers stand.  For example:  “Our 14 REN and Molten teams have been completed and we will begin calls for our Premier team.”
  • Once all teams in an age group have been completed, Alliance administration will send an email announcing such.  For example:  “We have concluded team offers in the 14s age group, having formed five teams from the 100+ players that participated in tryouts.  Unfortunately, we do not have a team offer for your daughter”.

We ask that if your daughter is certain that she would like to accept the offer, please let the coach know when the offer is made or within 24 hours.  This enhances our ability to create teams more readily. Do your research – visit our website and become familiar with the coaches in your daughter’s age group, review our practice and tournament schedules, understand the financial commitment of each team, and other information available in the Slide Show Presentation located under the “Tryouts” tab.  Should your family decide to decline an offer, please notify us immediately of your decision so a player who would like to play at Alliance can be given that opportunity.

The first installment of club fees is October 10 for 11s-14s teams and November 5 for 15s-18s teams. Players who have accepted team offers will receive an email with further instructions on payment deposit, uniform fitting, team meetings, etc.
