General Information

Alliance Volleyball Club will be holding club tryouts for the 11s-16s age grups. Alliance is dedicated to developing and enhancing volleyball in Middle Tennessee through player and coach training in a comfortable and competitive environment.  Alliance has established itself as one of the premier volleyball clubs in the Midsouth.
 

Important information regarding age division and tryouts/team placement:

Our age divisions follow current USA Volleyball age definitions. When you register your daughter for tryouts, her USAV age division will appear alongside her name.  However, if a player's grade level is higher than her USA Volleyball age division, you will register her with athletes in her 2026-27 grade. 

Examples:
A player who is age-eligible for 11U but is in 6th grade will attend 12U tryouts and be considered for 12U team placement.
A player who is age-eligible for 12U but is in 7th grade will attend 13U tryouts and be considered for 13U team placement.
A player who is age-eligible for 13U but is in 8th grade will attend 14U tryouts and be considered for 14U team placement.
A player who is age-eligible for 14U but is in 9th grade will attend 15U tryouts and be considered for 15U team placement.
A player who is age-eligible for 15U but is in 10th grade will attend 16U tryouts and be considered for 16U team placement.
A player who is age-eligible for 16U but is in 11th grade will attend 17U tryouts and be considered for 17U team placement.

 

 

 

Register for Tryouts

Tryout registration is available through your Alliance account.  If your daughter is new to Alliance, create a new account by clicking on "Sign In" at top right of website, add your dependent player to your profile, and then register for tryouts.  The cost to tryout is $70 and is payable online.  Registration will close 24 hours ahead of the first day of tryouts for your age group.  After registration is closed, the cost is $75 and player will be considered a walk up.  Please note that no refunds of tryout fees will occur within 72 hours of the first tryout date.  There will be a $5 processing fee for refunds.

The Southern Region Volleyball Association is one of the 40 regions of USA Volleyball. When you register for a membership with Southern Region, you also become a member of USA Volleyball.  You must be a currently registered member to participate in Southern Region and USA Volleyball events. A tryout membership must be purchased in order to participate in tryouts. The cost of this membership is $10.  If a player accepts a team offer and roster position, this tryout membership will be upgraded to a full membership at an additional cost of $50.

Tryout Schedule (Franklin main club location only)

Attending both tryout dates is strongly recommended.  If your daughter will miss one of the two days, please email cearp@alliancevbc.com with her name, age division, and day that she will miss. 
We will be sure that coaches are aware and able to ensure she is fully evaluated on the one day that she is in attendance.

Prepare for Tryouts

Rust Busters 11-12s:  September 21st & September 23rd (6:00-7:30PM)
Rust Busters 13-14s:  September 21st, September 23rd & September 24th (6:00-8:00PM)
Rust Busters 15-16s:  October 20th, October 21st (6:00-8:00PM) & October 22nd (6:30-8:30PM)

These optional clinics are designed to give players extra time in the gym with age group coaches prior to tryouts. Only players registered for tryouts are eligible to participate in Rust Buster clinics.
